Crypto is moving into the screens people already use for money. A Visa checkout can now draw on wallet balances, including stablecoins, German savings banks have put Bitcoin in their banking app, and a bank’s own dollars now settle on Ethereum.

  • Visa and Mesh: wallet balances at 175 million merchant locations, no separate card needed.
  • Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and POL arrive in five German savings bank apps.
  • No more copy-pasting addresses: Zerohash’s AUTH routes transfers across 600+ connections.
  • JPMorgan takes its JPM Coin deposit token from Base to Ethereum.

Every one of these takes a step out of using crypto. The question worth asking at the end of each is who holds the keys.

Mesh has partnered with Visa so people can use the crypto and stablecoin balances in participating wallet apps at more than 175 million merchant locations, The Block reported on October 19. A Visa credential is set up behind the scenes, and Mesh handles funding and conversion, so the holder doesn’t sell or transfer anything first.

Mesh CEO Bam Azizi called this crypto’s “last-mile problem”, one that has needed a separate card until now. Launch timing, supported devices and the first participating platforms haven’t been announced.

Zypto take: The till is where crypto turns into money people use every day, so every new route to it counts. Zypto Premium VISA Cards load straight from a self-custody wallet, and the conversion happens when you load, so you know your spending power before you reach the checkout.

Germany’s Sparkassen switch on crypto trading

Five German savings banks began offering crypto trading in their banking app on October 19, crypto.news reported, turning the Sparkassen group’s 2025 decision into a live product. “Krypto, powered by Deka” offers Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and POL for a reported €0.99 per order plus the spread.

Each of the 339 savings banks decides when to join. More than 230 have reportedly shown interest, and 30 to 40 are expected to sign on each month. DekaBank holds the private keys in an omnibus wallet, and withdrawals can only go to addresses at approved crypto service providers.

Zypto take: A savings bank app is where its customers already manage their money, so putting Bitcoin one tap away is real access. Who holds the keys still decides what you own: here it’s DekaBank, and coins can only leave for approved providers.

In Zypto App the keys stay on your own device, and your coins go wherever you send them. Download Zypto App.

Zerohash ends copy-pasting wallet addresses

Zerohash launched AUTH at Money20/20 on October 19, CoinDesk reported. It moves crypto, stablecoins and tokenized stocks between linked exchange, brokerage and self-custody wallet accounts without anyone copying an address or picking a network: you choose the destination, sign in and approve, and Zerohash handles routing and settlement.

Zerohash says AUTH supports more than 600 connections, including MetaMask and Phantom. Coinbase, Robinhood and Gemini are live, Kraken is in beta, and each app decides which assets and transfer types it allows.

Zypto take: Matching a long wallet address to the right network was never a job people should have had to do by hand. The Zypto multichain wallet treats swaps the same way, finding a path across 1,000,000+ crosschain routes in-app so you never pick a bridge yourself.

JPM Coin moves onto Ethereum

JPMorgan brought JPM Coin to Ethereum for institutional clients, Decrypt reported on October 19, after first launching the deposit token on Base in November 2025. Each token represents a dollar held at JPMorgan and can be redeemed at any time. Holders can now move it between Base and Ethereum, settling in seconds on any day of the week.

Only counterparties JPMorgan has vetted and approved can hold it, so it isn’t on public exchanges. Kinexys, the unit behind it, has handled more than $4 trillion in cumulative transactions.

Zypto take: Bank dollars settling on a public network on a Sunday is a real shift in how money moves. JPM Coin is still JPMorgan’s dollar, issued on JPMorgan’s terms to the clients it approves. For everyone else, a stablecoin like USDC in your own wallet is a dollar you can hold and move today, though its issuer keeps a freeze switch too.

Key Takeaways

  • Spending is moving into the wallet itself, with conversion handled out of sight.
  • Crypto is reaching mainstream banking apps, and who holds the keys is the detail that decides what a customer owns.
  • Addresses and network choices are being handed to software, which makes sending crypto feel like sending a message.
  • Public blockchains are becoming shared settlement networks, even for bank-issued dollars.
  • The next marker is how fast the remaining Sparkassen join, at 30 to 40 a month into 2027.
