What is 0x Protocol?
0x Protocol is an open protocol that powers token trading and swaps across blockchain networks. It provides the exchange infrastructure and APIs that wallets and applications use to source liquidity and route trades, rather than operating as a consumer-facing exchange itself.
ZRX is the protocol's governance and staking token, an ERC-20 asset on Ethereum. It launched through a token sale in August 2017 and lets holders vote on improvement proposals that shape the protocol's smart contracts. Liquidity providers can also stake ZRX within the system.
The protocol began on Ethereum and now supports a range of additional networks, including Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and others. It has operated since 2017 and is integrated by a number of established wallets and applications, making it one of the longer-running pieces of DeFi infrastructure.
You can track the 0x Protocol price and keep ZRX in a self-custody wallet.

Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold 0x Protocol?
You can hold 0x Protocol in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold ZRX and swap it into 24,000+ assets. ZRX isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
