What is Unitas?
Unitas is a DeFi stablecoin protocol that defines what it calls unitized stablecoins. These are tokens that act as units of account for emerging-market currencies, over-reserved with established US dollar stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, and DAI. The aim is to support cross-border payments, foreign investment, and DeFi access in currencies that are otherwise hard to use on-chain. A later phase added a yield-bearing dollar stablecoin called USDu.
UP is the protocol's native governance and revenue token, with the largest share of supply allocated to community and ecosystem use. Unitas is built on Solana. As a relatively young protocol still expanding its product range, it carries the usual risks of an early-stage DeFi project.
You can follow the Unitas price and hold UP in a self-custody wallet.

How is Unitas priced?
Unitas trades 24 hours a day, and its price comes from supply and demand across many exchanges at once. The number above is a live, volume-weighted average of those markets. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold Unitas?
You can hold Unitas in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold UP and swap it into 24,000+ assets. UP isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
