Cold Storage vs Leaving Crypto on Exchanges

What is Request?
Request Network is a decentralized protocol for payments and invoicing. It lets a user create a payment request, define the amount and terms, and share it so a counterparty can pay directly, with each request and payment recorded on-chain for accounting. This makes it useful for crypto invoicing, expense tracking, and remittances without an intermediary.
REQ is the protocol's ERC-20 utility token, launched in 2017 on Ethereum. It is used as an anti-spam mechanism, since creating a request burns a small amount, and for staking and governance, with the burn adding deflationary pressure over time. The network is designed to work across multiple chains while keeping REQ as its core token.
You can follow the Request price and hold REQ in a self-custody wallet.

How is Request priced?
Request trades 24 hours a day, and its price comes from supply and demand across many exchanges at once. The number above is a live, volume-weighted average of those markets. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold Request?
You can hold Request in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold REQ and swap it into 24,000+ assets. REQ isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
