What is Liquity?
Liquity is a decentralized borrowing protocol on Ethereum. Users lock ETH as collateral in a position called a trove and mint LUSD, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, without paying ongoing interest. Instead of recurring interest, borrowers pay a one-time fee, and the system keeps LUSD near a dollar through direct redemptions and algorithmically adjusted fees. The protocol runs without admin keys or upgradeable contracts, so its rules are fixed once deployed.
LQTY is the protocol's secondary token. Holders can stake it to earn a share of the borrowing and redemption fees the system collects, and it also rewards early liquidity providers in the stability pool that backs the protocol. Liquity launched on Ethereum mainnet in 2021, and a second version with multiple collateral types and user-set interest rates followed later.

Where can I hold Liquity?
