What is Jito?
Jito is a liquid staking protocol on the Solana blockchain. When you stake SOL through Jito you receive JitoSOL, a token that represents your staked position and keeps earning rewards while staying usable across DeFi. Jito also runs MEV infrastructure for Solana validators, and a share of that value flows back to people holding JitoSOL.
JTO is the governance token of the Jito network. It launched in December 2023 and gives holders a say in the Jito DAO, covering decisions such as stake pool fees, how SOL is delegated to validators, and management of the protocol treasury.
