What is Derive?
Derive, traded as DRV, is the token of an on-chain derivatives protocol that supports options and perpetual futures trading. The project was previously known as Lyra Finance and rebranded to Derive in 2024, with LYRA balances converting to DRV at a one to one ratio.
DRV is the governance and utility token for the network, which spans its own Layer 2 chain, the trading protocol, and connected products. Holders can take part in governance and staking, and a share of the fees the protocol collects funds a buyback program for the token.
The DRV token launched in January 2025, building on the history and community of Lyra. You can track the Derive price and hold DRV in a self-custody wallet.

How is Derive priced?
Derive's price is set by supply and demand across global exchanges, around the clock. The figure above is a volume-weighted average across major markets, updated live. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold Derive?
You can hold Derive in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold DRV and swap it into 24,000+ assets. DRV isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
