What is Corn?
Corn is a Bitcoin-focused layer 2 network built on the Arbitrum Orbit technology stack. It is designed for Bitcoin DeFi, letting holders of tokenized Bitcoin use it across lending, trading, and yield applications while inheriting Ethereum-style smart contract tooling. Its defining feature is a hybrid tokenized Bitcoin asset that serves as the network's gas token, so users pay transaction fees in a Bitcoin-pegged asset rather than ETH.
CORN is the network's ecosystem token, used for rewards and governance across the Corn ecosystem. The mainnet went live in 2025, with applications such as Curve, Camelot, and Oku deployed on it, and CORN began trading on exchanges in March 2025.
As a recently launched layer 2 in the fast-moving Bitcoin DeFi space, Corn is still maturing and its economics are early. You can track the Corn price and hold CORN in a self-custody wallet.
