What is Backpack?
Backpack is a crypto exchange and wallet built around the Solana network, offering trading alongside self-custody tools. BP is its native token, designed to tie the platform's users to its growth.
BP launched on March 23, 2026, on Solana, with a total supply of 1 billion. A quarter of the supply went to the community through an airdrop based on past trading activity, with no allocation to founders or investors at launch. Staking BP can lower trading fees and, if held for at least a year, may let users convert tokens into Backpack company equity at a future IPO, subject to the program's terms.
BP is a very new token tied closely to one company's performance, and it fell sharply in the period right after launch, so it should be treated as early-stage and speculative. You can monitor the Backpack price and hold BP in a self-custody wallet where you keep the keys.

How is Backpack priced?
Backpack trades 24 hours a day, and its price comes from supply and demand across many exchanges at once. The number above is a live, volume-weighted average of those markets. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold Backpack?
You can hold Backpack in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold BP and swap it into 24,000+ assets. BP isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
