Is Zypto self-custodial? Who holds my keys?

Yes. The Zypto App is fully self-custodial. Your seed phrase and private keys are generated on your device, encrypted locally, and never sent to our servers. We can't access your funds, freeze your account, or reverse a transaction. Your keys are your coins.

For added security, pair the wallet with the Vault Key Card for cold-storage-grade approval on every transaction.

Which DEX swaps are integrated?

The Zypto App integrates DEX swaps across 20+ chains. Single-chain swaps run on Uniswap (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Avalanche, Arbitrum), PancakeSwap (BNB Chain), Raydium (Solana), Shibaswap (Ethereum), Aftermath (Sui), SunSwap (TRON), and native swaps on Optimism and the XRP Ledger. Cross-chain swaps route through aggregators including ChangeNow, LetsExchange, SwapKit and Chainlink CCIP, automatically, best price wins.

Do I need WalletConnect set up separately?

No. WalletConnect is built in. Scan the QR code on any compatible dApp from the in-app browser or your camera, and you're signed in. Sign, vote, mint, lend - the wallet's right there.

What's the Vault Key Card and do I need one?

The VKC is an optional NFC hardware wallet shaped like a credit card. It pairs with the Zypto App and signs transactions when you tap it against your phone. Use it for cold-storage-grade security without a separate device. You don't need one to use the wallet, but it's the most secure setup we offer.

What chains and assets does the wallet support?

What if I lose my phone or my seed phrase?

If you lose your phone, reinstall the app on a new device, choose "Restore wallet" and enter your seed phrase. Your funds are right there.

If you lose your seed phrase AND your phone - we can't help. That's the trade-off of true self-custody: no Zypto employee can reset your password or restore your access. Keep your seed phrase safe, preferably in two places, neither of them digital.
