Qtum in Zypto: built for holders who actually use their crypto

Most Qtum wallets do one thing: hold QTUM. Zypto App is a full DeFi wallet built for actually using it. Hold QTUM non-custodially on the Qtum network, swap into 24,000+ assets across 20+ chains via in-app DEX integrations, connect to dApps with WalletConnect, and use the value through the Zypto Premium Visa Card and Zypto's bill-pay and gift-card surfaces.

Whether you're new and looking for your first Qtum wallet app or your first QTUM wallet, or an experienced DeFi user who wants one wallet for holding, swapping and real-world spending, Zypto is built for both, without sacrificing self-custody.

Keeping your Qtum safe - how Zypto handles security

Zypto App is non-custodial. Your private keys are generated and stored on your device. Zypto never has access to your QTUM, and every transaction is signed locally. For higher security, pair with the Vault Key Card, the card-based cold-wallet hardware that signs transactions over NFC without exposing keys to the internet.

What is Qtum?

Qtum is an open-source public blockchain that combines design ideas from two earlier networks. It uses Bitcoin's UTXO accounting model alongside a virtual machine compatible with Ethereum smart contracts, joined together by what the project calls its Account Abstraction Layer. The aim is to let developers write smart contracts and decentralized applications on a chain that settles value the way Bitcoin does. QTUM is the network's native token. It is used to pay transaction and contract fees, and it secures the chain through a Proof of Stake system, where holders can stake their coins or delegate them to help validate blocks and earn rewards. The mainnet launched in September 2017 following a token sale earlier that year. Qtum is a long-running, established network with wallets across desktop, mobile, and hardware, an active developer community, and a record of protocol upgrades over several years. You can track the Qtum price and hold QTUM in a self-custody wallet.

Qtum wallet: the things people ask

What's the best Qtum wallet app?

That depends on what you want to do with your QTUM. If you're holding only, any non-custodial wallet works. If you also want to use Qtum for real-world spending through the Zypto Premium Visa Card, pay bills, top up phones, or swap into other assets, Zypto App is purpose-built for that while still being fully non-custodial.

Is the Zypto Qtum wallet non-custodial?

Yes. Your private keys are generated and stored on your device. Zypto never has access to your QTUM. Every transaction is signed locally on your device before it reaches the network.

Can I use Qtum for real-world spending without selling it?

Through the Zypto Premium Visa Card, your QTUM balance is converted at the point of sale, so you use the value of your crypto for real-world spending wherever Visa is accepted, subject to eligibility and applicable limits. You can also swap QTUM into stablecoins in-app for bill pay or gift cards.

Which chains can I swap Qtum into?

20+ chains including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Chain and TRON. Cross-chain swaps happen inside Zypto App, no separate wallets required.

How do I back up my Qtum wallet?

During setup, Zypto App generates a 12-word recovery phrase. Write it down and store it offline somewhere safe. For higher security, pair Zypto App with a Vault Key Card, the card-based cold-wallet hardware that signs transactions over NFC without exposing your keys to the internet.

Is Zypto App available in my country?

The wallet itself is available globally on iOS, Android and web. Some features (in-app buying, the Zypto Premium Visa Card) are region-restricted. Check the support center for your country's specific availability.

Is Zypto App free?

The app is free to download and use. Standard network fees apply to on-chain transactions. Card and bill-pay services carry transparent transaction fees published in the app.
